What's new at Byway Nomad?

In my role as a Road Conservation Officer for Hertfordshire TRF I was recently asked to check out an anomaly on a byway in Central Bedfordshire. It had been reported that at one end it was signposted as a Bridleway. Also my first chance to start filming on my new Aprilia Tuareg 660.

CB 03 Salt Way (Chalton Byway 10), Central Bedfordshire

An extremely narrow byway of 500 metres in length that whilst very rural in character, deposits you out at the southern end into an Industrial Estate in Luton. As noted there is a Bridleway sign at this end and whilst actually correct as there is a bridleway at this end, it is pointing in the wrong direction. The bridleway actually continues as the tarmac access road into the estate. Presumably the road was built on top of the line of the bridleway in the past.
